Travel texting: coming soon
A quick question. Back to the trip.
The idea is simple: ask about the trip where you already communicate. Get the useful details and a clear next step, with the same family permissions as the app.
What you will be able to ask
“What is the plan tomorrow?” “Where are we meeting the guide?” “What still needs arranging?” Replies will use the saved information you are allowed to see. Missing facts will remain uncertain.
A number belongs to a person
Phone sign-in and travel texting are separate. Verifying your phone proves control of the number; joining a family also requires an invitation. It never gives you access to someone else’s trip.
Choose whether to receive trip texts
Recurring travel texts require a separate, optional opt-in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not required to use the website.
What is available now
Use Ask inside the invited family app for questions about the saved plan. Phone verification is available separately. Travel SMS remains unavailable while provider registration is under review; do not expect trip replies from the service number yet.
Keep important actions deliberate
Texting will not grant permission to buy tickets, share passports or independently contact a supplier. WhatsApp support currently prepares a message for you to review and send; it does not read personal WhatsApp conversations in the background.
A LITTLE MORE OF THE PICTURE
Keep exploring.
